2019 Silver and Gold Star Drawing Prizes

On the silent auction bid sheets you will see a Silver Star approximately at 50% of retail value and a Gold Star approximately at 80% of retail value.

Bidders who place bids on the Silver Star line Silver_star will be entered into a drawing for the Silver Star Prize—Jayd Almquist Painting. Bidders who place bids on the Gold Star line gold_star will be entered into a drawing for the Gold Star Prize—Eric Rewitzer Print. One Silver Star and one Gold Star winner will be randomly drawn at 9:30 pm. You do not have to be present to win.

Enter your bidder number and name on the Silver Star or Gold Star line on the Silent Auction bid sheet, to have a chance to win the Silver and Gold star prizes. If you are the highest bidder you will win the art you bid on and be entered into the drawings. You don’t need to win the art you are bidding on to be entered into the drawings. Born into a Korean family in Tokyo, Japan, raised in the U.S. and lived in Germany for a number of years, Bernadette Jiyong Frank currently lives and works in San Francisco, California. She has been working in various visual media encompassing painting, photography and public art in the U.S. and abroad.

Bernadette has had solo exhibitions at Dolby Chadwick Gallery (San Francisco), Triangle Gallery (San Francisco), Galerie Beate Berndt (Augsburg, Germany), and Carnegie Institution for Sciences (Standford, CA). Her work has been included in group exhibitions at Sonoma Valley Museum of Art (Sonoma, CA), FSU Museum of Fine Arts (Tallahassee, Florida), Southern Exposure (San Francisco), Judy Saslow Gallery (Chicago) and Melissa Morgan Fine Art Gallery (Palm Desert, CA) to name a few.

Bernadette is a recipient of the Fire Station #5 Public Art Commission by the San Francisco Arts Commission and the Bus Station by the Waterfront Public Art in Whangarei, New Zealand. She has been awarded a Silver Medal in New Images Photography Awards 2012, and was nominated for the 2013 2 x 2 Solos Exhibitions at Pro Arts Gallery in Oakland. Her paintings and photographs are held in various public and private collections including the Crocker Art Museum, Triton Museum of Art, and Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. Bernadette’s work has been reviewed in the SF Weekly, Examiner and Augsburger Allgemeine, and has appeared in issues #103 and #121 of the national publication New American Paintings. Bernadette is represented by Dolby Chadwick Gallery in San Francisco and Galerie Beate Berndt in Augsburg, Germany.
