Lisa Knoop’s large painting called Breathe was damaged by a flood. She rescued it and it became this series called Dance of Life. The dancers are from a series of photos by Muybridge of a waltz taken from various perspectives. She used them to represent the multiple perspectives open to us at any given moment. Her work references the natural process of birth, destruction, decay and rebirth.
