Ginni Savalli is a Bay Area photographer best known for her unique toning and printing techniques to explore both landscape and figure subjects.

Savalli begins with the inherent strength of black and white film photography to convey her message using each subject’s form, shape, and texture.  She then introduces another emotional layer to the image by carefully adding color through her distinct toning techniques achieved only the darkroom. “The challenge is to influence the emotion of the image without disturbing the strength of shape and form.

Savalli’s art has been shown in numerous locations, including solo, group, and juried exhibits.
