I makes pictures to connect with something larger than my corporeal self, and it requires trusting the process in ways that I believe are unique to making art. I find the challenge is to trust I am being guided in the right direction on my path of creativity, a thing that helps me feel balanced and connected.

For the last few years I’ve been creating abstract paintings using oil paint and cold wax medium. Both subject and medium are equally challenging with endless opportunities for exploration into unknown territory. I am often perplexed and delighted by the joy and frustration that is evoked when doing something new and unfamiliar. Visit me at 1890 Bryant Street Studios during Spring or Fall Open Studios in the Mission.
