Anselmo is a Bay Area-based fine art photographer who works on photographic projects in Cuba, New Orleans and the San Francisco area, developing film-based portfolios prompted by the forgotten urban landscape. Exhibiting primarily in the U.S. and Latin America, he also operates a large format fine art digital printing studio and regularly conducts photography field workshops to Cuba, where he has presented numerous exhibitions of his large format social-documentary images. Earlier this year he presented a major retrospective at Havana’s Galeria Artis 718. Anselmo also curates United States exhibitions of black and white images by renowned contemporary Cuban photographers, and is Visiting Lecturer at the Havana School of Creative Photography as well as the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes San Alejandro, Cuba’s oldest art school.
