Natasha Dikareva’s work in ceramics pushes the boundary between reality and imagination. Inspired by nineteenth century scientist Ernst Haeckel’s illustrations of hitherto-unknown and seemingly fantastical sea creatures, Natasha forges ahead creating undiscovered creatures from another dimension.

Natasha is influenced by a various sources, which include ancient Greek mythology and Eastern philosophies. She is interested in depicting the human experience using charged symbolism and metaphors. Through the back door of the subconscious, Natasha finds escape routes from the mundane. She taps into the origin of her dreams, extracting the elixir of a bright new future.
