I have always been fascinated with materials and media, discovering new directions, welcoming the unexpected. Experimentation with materials and media has been a common theme throughout my 20-year career as a commercial illustrator, photographer, artist and instructor. I approach my work as a long-running experiment, of sorts. I have always found the process of creating art exciting, finding stimulation in exploring both traditional and new techniques.

About 10 years ago, this pursuit for new materials and media led me to the then-fledgling world of digital art and, more recently, digital printing. As a result, my work today is a mixture of traditional and digital media, a hybrid of old and new technologies that bring the best of both worlds together to create a new and highly original media form.

Through this work, I hope to encourage a visual conversation between the art and the viewer. The imagery and content of my current fine art series is highly personal, “preserving” images inspired from nature and travel as visual treasures. The theme of my current print series takes the familiar and presents it with a new perspective on color, shape and space, with unexpected results.
