Michael Beckler has been interested in geometric patterns ever since he saw the work of M. C. Escher. Michael has experimented with many art styles and media including watercolor, charcoal, glass, fabrics, and paper. Michael is also inspired by Gaudi’s colorful architecture and the late textured work of Enrico Donati. Michael Beckler uses acrylic paint, epoxy resin, glass and paper to create his pieces. Some of his works are made with as many as 12 layers. The resulting image is graphic yet free flowing. And the final 3-dimensional work applied on a 2-dimensional surface creates abstract illusion.
