Dianne Hoffman finds beauty in rust and erosion and sees potential in broken parts. She combines complementary, muted color schemes in order to harmonize dissimilar media. Her assemblage boxes, filled with collections of curious found objects, become storytellers and memory inducers as they evoke the past with enigmatic humor.

In this piece, Dianne utilizes doll parts to represent the human condition and create an uncanny, engaged experience. Each compartment of the assemblage box embodies flawed mementos of a collective consciousness.
