Drawing has always been Diane Olivier’s primary medium, and she works with both traditional and nontraditional materials. She uses everything from charcoal and graphite, to full color pastels and non-traditional mixed media. Her subject matter includes figurative pieces, landscapes, and non-representational drawings. Important to her process is the sense of touch that occurs between hand, tool, and paper. Diane describes this artistic process as a dance between the eyes, the hand, and the soul.
