Bruce Katz seeks to capture through painting the beauty and magic in the world around us. He paints in a contemporary impressionistic style, focusing primarily on the traditional subject matter of landscape, cityscape and still life. He works mostly outdoors, but also in the studio, painting from life, memory and gathered references. Bruce has studied at Art Students League in New York City, City College and UC Berkeley Extension. He has a studio at Hunters Point Shipyard, teaches workshops and participates in gallery shows throughout the area.
